On Proofing

Be very careful and detailed when ordering your invitations so you may save time and money later on. This implies the importance of proofreading all the details you will provide your stationer especially the actual proof or mockup of your invitation.

Most reliable stationers can assist you in the proper wording of your invitation, but the actual names, addresses, dates and all other details in your invitation all come from you. Thus, it is expected of you to make sure everything you provide them is a hundred percent correct.

Upon receiving the proof of your invitations, check the following points for accuracy, spelling or grammar:

  • names of your bridal entourage (and liturgical entourage should you be ordering missalettes)
  • addresses
  • date, day and time
  • quotations, Bible verses or sayings you included

You may also ask one to three persons to proofread your invitations after you. Having many opinions and viewpoints gives way for a lesser chance of error.
